We are hiring a Commercial Kitchen Appliance Repair Technician
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform scheduled maintenance on commercial foodservice equipment found in restaurants, schools, hospitals, catering halls and other commercial buildings found in CT and Southwestern MA.

Our Benefits
Full time: 40+ hours per week
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial hotside foodservice equipment; including cooking, warewashing, coffee and other specialty food equipment
- Installation of customer equipment as scheduled
- Performs Planned Maintenance (PM) as defined by customer agreement
- Communicate with manufacturer as needed to help with diagnosis and parts identifications
- Responsible for completing documents for work orders such as; part orders, time cards, truck inventory, misc receipts and following all warranty/third party requirements
- Technicians are responsible for maintaining truck stock inventory, following truck maintenance schedules and keeping a clean and organized truck
- Attending CFESA, manufacturer, and/or in house training as necessary. May require overnight travel.
- Giving 100% customer service by being on time for appointments, maintaining a neat appearance, fully explaining problems and how to use equipment and always projecting a professional attitude
Minimum Education and Qualifications
- Five years of experience with commercial appliance hot side repair, maintenance and installation of all commercial kitchen cooking and food preparation equipment
- Experience with gas piping systems, gas control systems, boilers and heat exchange systems (gas, steam or electric fired)
- Must be able to pass both a written and verbal technical proficiency test and demonstrate skills necessary to perform the job functions
- CFESA Certification preferred but not required
- Position requires candidates to be available for on call weeknights, weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule
- A clean driving record is a must. Position requires daily travel throughout CT and Western MA
Additional requirements
- Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull and reach above and below waist.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds up to 25 feet. Occasional lifting and carrying, with or without assistance, of items up to 70 pounds., with assistance up to 150lbs.
- Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, pressurized steam equipment, open flames, heated surfaces, liquids, and risk of electrical shock
- Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and in rare cases, high, precarious places.
